Week 19 Results

The CFJs claw the leaders back.

Final Fantasy XI 2 v 0 Nil Satis Nisi Optimum
Fred West Landscape Gardening XI 0 v 0 YTFIB
Mega Buck Bandits 1 v 2 Aardvark Abacus
Real Muppets 1 v 1 The Dead Parrots
San Dimas High School 0 v 1 Athletico Phoenix
The Cheese Makers 3 v 3 Trusted By Millions
The Cow-Faced Juniors 2 v 1 Claymore Athletic FC
The Fabulous Artisans 4 v 2 You Know Your Boston Rock FC

The gap at the top is down to a point after the CFJs completed a league double over Claymore. How big could that turn out to be at the end of the season? Clint Hill was the unlikely match-winner for Chris after Gareth Bale's stunner was cancelled out by Wayne Rooney. Athletico Phoenix are now eight points off top spot after ending San Dimas' good run with a late Shaun Maloney goal.

Final Fantasy haven't had the best of times recently but Ceri will be glad that Nil Satis were the visitors this week and her team strolled to a 2-0 win. The Aardvarks are currently the second-best Bevan managed team after beating the third-best. Goals from Craig Gardner (a penalty) and Lukas Podolski (a deflected free-kick) were too much for the Bandits.

The Muppets are sixth after being held by the Parrots. Danny Sturridge is coming to life for Ryan's team but his goal was equalised by Rickie Lambert who's been a hugely important signing for Dean. Trusted drew too after a great game with The Cheese Makers. Marouane Fellaini put Matthew in front twice but Steven Gerrard scored from long range and Michael Dawson had the final say with a clean.

The Artisans leapfrogged Boston Rock after beating them 4-2 and fill the bottom place in the top half. Christian Benteke and Jimmy Kebe both scored twice for Ben, it's seven without a win in the league for Boston Rock now. Our last match this week was the goalless draw between Fred and YTFIB - nothing to add.
