Paul Cartmell Memorial Trophy quarter-final results

The holders are out and leave an unlikely looking semi-final line-up.

Aardvark Abacus 1 v 2 The Fabulous Artisans
Claymore Athletic FC 0 v 4 Mega Buck Bandits
Real Muppets 4 v 2 The Cow-Faced Juniors
San Dimas High School 6 v 0 Trusted By Millions

It won't be three in a row for the CFJs who were dumped out by the Muppets. Alexis Sanchez's second of the game in the last minute, latching on to a goalkeeping mishap, looked to have put Chris through But cleans from Alderweireld, Moreno and Bellerin who too much for the holders. The league leaders are out too. Emanuel Adebayor nodded Ady in front in the first 20 minutes but Ben supplied cleans from Gibbs and Fernandez to turn things round. This appears to be the Artisans tournament - this is the fifth straight year they've made at least the semi-finals.

Conversely, Claymore haven't got a great record in this tournament and they were battered by Mega Bucks who've suddenly developed a taste for it. Charlie Austin scored twice for Dave and he added two cleans to make it a rout while Branislav Ivanovic saw red for Clive. What has happened to Trusted? Last year's champions conceded seven last week and six this to San Dimas. Three goals and three clean sheets for me, the pick of the bunch from the twinkle-toed David Silva.

Charity Shield quarter-final results

Previous winners Phoenix and Parrots still in with a shout while Kevin and Matthew have an eye on their first trophy.

Athletico Phoenix 4 v 2 Fred West Landscape Gardening XI
Nil Satis Nisi Optimum 0 v 2 FCK2
The Dead Parrots 2 v 1 Final Fantasy XI
YTFIB 0 v 3 Cheese Makers

Athletico Phoenix were the first winners of this trophy and are into the last four again. Brian had to come from behind after Wilfried Bony had scored twice for Fred with Robin van Persie slamming in from close range very late and then adding cleans from Rob Green, Per Mertersacker and Ashley Williams. The second winners are in the hat too. The Parrots struck either side of half time through Mile Jedinak from the spot and a first from the club by Didier Drogba. Angel Rangel's clean was just a consolation for Ceri.

FCK2 are in the hunt for their first 'pot' thanks to a win over Nil Satis. Danny Ings opened his account for Kevin while Diafra Sakho was on target again for Kevin to wrap things up. The YTFIB/Cheese Makers clash was between two teams who had only one won game each this season. Matthew's team were the ones who doubled their tally with Morgan Amalfitano tapping in from close range on 21 minutes then James Chester and Jose Fonte bringing in the clean sheets.

A change at the top where the Aardvarks become our fifth leaders of the season. Phil Jagielka broke the deadlock with a stooping header after 18 minutes and the same player and Ryan Bertrand added cleans to break YTFIB's resistance. Claymore have also jumped over last week's leaders with a thrashing of Trusted. Clive and Beef have had some good battles in recent seasons but this was comfy for Claymore. Sergio Aguero's four goals grab the headlines but Clive will be pleased with Cesc Fabregas opening his account too.

Fred drops to third after a 1-1 draw with Final Fantasy. More red cards than goals in this one with Cesar Azpilicueta and Federico Fazio dismissed for the Gardeners while Damien Delaney got sole use of the Final Fantasy bath before half-time. The Muppets were also held, 2-2 by San Dimas. Mo Diame's great scoring run continued with the opener but Romelu Lukaku equalised just after the break. Sadio Mane opened his account with four minutes left but the Muppets couldn't hang on and Danny Welbeck found enough room to get the leveller in the last minute.

FCK2 fell to their first league defeat with Mega Bucks the 4-1 winners. This game was level at one each going into the last minute before Philippe Coutinho found the bottom corner and before Kevin's team could recover Steven Caulker steered one into his own net. The CFJs have the evil eye over Athletico at the moment and after a cup win a couple of weeks ago Chris added the league points too. Of all the money he's shelled out trying to replace Bale and Suarez the £11m spent on Graziano Pelle is looking the best value right now.

Nil Satis picked up only their second win of the campaign against the parrots. Oscar's stunning free-kick opened the scoring but Paul needed a Nathaniel Clyne clean to win the points after Joe Hart's saved penalty had got Dean an equaliser. After knocking Matthew out of the PCMT Ben also took the league points from his brother. Christian Eriksen got the first for the Artisans and Enner Valencial opened his WSFFl account early in the second half to complete the scoring.

Fred's impressive start to the season continued with a thrashing of 2012/13 champs the CFJs. Three down at the break through Bony, Hazard and Lallana, Chris did reply through Radamel Falcao's first WSFFL goal before the Gardeners added three cleans to round off a 6-1 win. Also on five wins out of six, but going about in a much more sedate way, are the Aardvarks. Ady's team fell behind to Trusted when David de Gea saved a penalty but Beef failed to build and cleans from Winston Reid and Ryan Bertrand gave the Aardvarks the points.

Claymore are right behind the top two but were given a scare by the Parrots. Two more from Papiss Cisse and a strike from Wayne Routledge had dean three up with 15 minutes left but Sergio Aguero pulled one back with two minutes left and cleans from Kolarov, Ivanovic and Michael Dawson turned the tables. FCK2 are still unbeaten but lost ground on the leaders with a draw at Cheese Makers. Kyle Naughton limped off with a clean early on but a close range header from Diafra Sakho tied things up on the hour.

The Muppets and Final Fantasy join FCK2 on 12 points. Ryan's team beat the Artisans 2-1. Mo Diame got the winner with half an hour left but this could have been different if the usually reliable Leighton Baines hadn't missed a penalty for Ben's team earlier in the game. Final Fantasy beat San Dimas by the same score. Cup hero Connor Wickham opened the scoring on four minutes but Saido Berahino's spot-kick had me level 11 minutes into the second period. Yaya Toure's taken some stick this season but the Ivorian got the winner late on, stroking in from distance after evading my defence.

Athletico are into the top half after breaking down YTFIB late on. Julian resisted Diego Costa's advances for 78 minutes and then collapsed to concede two further cleans. There's a change at the foot of the table. Mega Bucks got their first win of the league campaign over fellow strugglers Nil Satis 3-2. Steven Fletcher's been goal-shy for a while but his brace gave Dave an unassailable lead beofre a late consolation from Nikica Jelavic. Paul's defence is comfortably the league's leakiest.
