A first league defeat of the season for the Artisans, going down to Cheese Makers 3-2, but other results mean Ben retains his five point lead. First half goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Dan Ballard set Matthew up for the win and when Joao Pedro had the freedom of the penalty to make it 3-0 on 65 minutes it looked done and dusted. Ben’s team did hit back with a Matthew de Ligt header and Bart Verbruggen clean but it wasn’t enough. The CFJs lost by the same score to Nil Satis. The Cows led twice too, Giorgi Mamardashvili’s early penalty save was equalised by the excellent Jeremy Doku, Tomas Soucek’s goal on 77 minutes was cancelled out by Michael Keane’s shoulder four minutes later. Paul S picked up the points courtesy of Vitali Mykolenko’s clean.

The Muppets also slipped to defeat, 4-1 to the Aardvarks who are up to fourth. Erling Haaland’s header gave Ryan the lead by the half hour but Ady turned it around late. Mathijs Tel’s deflected shot after 84 minutes drew his side level, and Richarlison’s flick header in injury time put the Aardvarks in front. Cleans from Lewis Dunk and Wesley Fofana put a one-sided look on the final score. Another comprehensive win, 4-0 over Mega Bucks, sees The Wateringhole Society up to fifth. 1-0 at the break thanks to Harvey Barnes smart shot on the turn, Malo Gusto and Bukayo Saka scored within three second half minutes of each other to take the game away from Dave. Marc Cucurella’s clean the final counter in the game.

Markian dropped to seventh after their 3-0 defeat to Claymore. A tight game went in Clive’s favour thanks to an Igor Thiago brace in the last 15 minutes, one from the spot, and Trevoh Chalobah’s clean. SGU are quietly going about their business and are three points off second after beating YTFIB 3-1. Zian Flemming’s first-half header was cancelled out by Kevin Schade after 56 minutes before Aaron wrapped it up in a two minute burst. First Harry Maguire bagged an early clean then Pedro Neto was on the end of a sweeping move to finish from close in.

San Dimas just got the better of Wheel Madrid 3-2 after falling two goals behind. Emi Buendia’s precision free-kick and Callum Wilson had Paul W two up at the interval, the San Dimas revival started with an Emi Martinez saved penalty and then Josko Gvardiol and Martinez got cleans to send my team away with all the points. Late goals gave Trusted a 2-1 win at GC TotW. Ollie’s team went ahead with 22 minutes left, Morgan Gibbs-White heading home. A stunning strike from Leandro Trossard restored parity six minutes later and an injury time Elliott Anderson penalty won the game for Beef.
