WSFFL Phrasebook

'Doing a Boston Rock' - to purchase a talented young English player out of the pool with the hope that his development will continue and he will become a regular and valued member of the team in years to come.

Ryan has done 'a Boston Rock' with the signing of Aston Villa's 17-year-old striker Nathan Delfouneso. The Birmingham-born youngster has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level and has joined the title-chasing Muppets for £500,000.
