Claymore become our third leaders in three weeks and fourth in all this season. Clive got off to the worse possible start when Wayne Rooney put through his own goal to put Nil Satis ahead but two from Rooney wither side of Michael Kightly waltzing through the Nil Satis defence send our champions to the top of the pile. The CFJs and Boston Rock both could have gone top but a draw opened the door for Claymore. Kevin Nolan and Jermain Defoe had Sheriff two up ten minutes into the second half but Michu's sixth of the season got Chris back into contention and then the CFJs boss hauled Fabricio Coloccini off with 10 minutes left to preserve the equalising clean.

Athletico Phoenix are up to third after narrowly beating Final Fantasy. Robin van Persie broke the deadlock just before the break but the killer goal came five minutes from time. Demba Ba has fired Ceri to the sharp end of the table this season but he was responsible for the unlucky deflection that put Brian 2-0 up. Mark Schwarzer's clean pulled one back but wasn't enough. Real Muppets are sixth after a routine win at YTFIB. Raheem Sterling didn't make the breakthrough at Boston Rock but Ryan has given him a chance and the youngster repaid his faith with his first WSFFL goal. Brad Jones' clean completed the win.

The Artisans suffered their second successive league defeat, this time falling 3-0 to Mega Bucks. Mark Noble opened the scoring after the break and also converted a penalty 18 minutes from time before Russell Martin's clean put the icing on the win. Ben needs to find some goals from somewhere if he's to be in the title race again. The Cheese Makers had probably been on the end of Matthew's 'hairdryer treatment' after their crushing defeat to Fred last week. The Cheesers roared out of the blocks against the Parrots and chief string-puller Yohan Cabaye followed up to find the net after three minutes. Emerson Boyce levelled with a spectacular acrobatic back-flick but Brede Hangeland got the winning clean for Matthew.

If the Artisans are struggling at the moment what of the Aardvarks? Ady's team were taken apart by the previously struggling Trusted. Gary Cahill slammed Beef ahead when the Aardvarks failed to clear a corner and Adam Lallana opened his account with an unstoppable shot into the roof of the Aardvark net to double the lead. Edin Dzeko then struck twice in the last ten minutes to finish the game off. Less than 27,000 were at the Aldi Arena to see this one. Fred and San Dimas played out a tame draw at new Cromwell Street. Danny Welbeck moved between the clubs in the summer to help fund Fred's rebuilding programme and opened the scoring for me with a diving header. Pablo got his first Fred goal with a smart turn and shot midway through the second-half.
