Stat of the week - Brian becomes the first manager to win his opening five league games since Fred in the 2010/11 season. Mahrez was on target again and new boy Martial got two (shall we call them the M People?) on the way to beating the Aardvarks 4-3. Ady will at least by pleased that in Ighalo and Son he has two strikers worth the name.
Second best stat of the week - This is the first time there have been four unbeaten teams at this stage since I've been doing this job (2007/8) but I haven't had time to look back further. Fred are still second after beating the Muppets 4-1, Eden Hazard starting to look himself at last. Claymore trailed to FCK2 but three clean sheets keep Clive third. San Dimas are the last member of the unbeaten quartet, Jamie Vardy setting me on the way to beat Mega Bucks.
In the middle of the table, the CFJs and Final Fantasy played out an exciting 3-3 draw. Ceri had threatened her board with resignation if they hadn't stumped up the cash to sign Matt Ritchie. She got her man and he started to repay the fee with a stunning goal on nine minutes. A Graziano Pelle double got Chris back in it. Nil Satis are seventh, Paul and Daniel with three clean sheets to halt Kiran's progress up the table. The top half is rounded off by Cheese Makers. Juan Mata getting the only goal for Matthew against YTFIB.
In 2000/01 Trusted and the Muppets played out a last day title decider. Ryan's team did have the consolation of record signing Kevin de Bruyne getting off the mark against Fred but his team are still pointless. Beef's team have a point and a goal after a 1-1 draw with the Artisans.
