Let's focus on the recent signings this week - starting at the top...

Brian was hoping that his £21m signing Anthony Martial was going to be more Thierry Henry than Lenny Henry. So far so good. A goal down to Final Fantasy with four minutes left the teenager skipped through Ceri's defence to grab the equaliser and set up the win. Fred is still unbeaten and in second place after a 2-0 victory over the new Nil Satis management team. There were no new signings on target though so I'll move on.

Claymore are also unbeaten and level on points with Fred. Two goals in this week's 6-2 beating of Mega Bucks came from Clive's £6.5m signing Dimitri Payet. Looks like a bargain at the mo. The Aardvarks kept the Muppets pointless with a 5-1 win. This was a game for the lower end of the signing scale. Odion Ighalo got his first for Ady while Ryan's consolation came from Kelechi Iheanacho. (Easy for you to say!)

San Dimas didn't go bonkers in the summer market but are our fourth unbeaten team. Gabriel joined in February but hardly played so he's kind of new and got one of the cleans in the 4-1 win over the Artisans. Ben will be pleased that Memphis only lost possession 21 times this week but he was subbed at half time. The CFJs edged out FCK2 to move into sixth. Big money defender Virgil van Dijk got a clean on debut to make the difference for Chris and Co.

Kiran has done lots of work knocking his side into shape and one of those new signings, Allan Nyom, got the winning clean against YTFIB. He is now the highest-placed member of his family. Matthew joins Ben on four points after his first win of the campaign. Angelo Ogbonna limped off with a clean before the break and that was enough to beat a Trusted side who at least got their first counter of the season.
