The Muppets didn’t have to be at their best to hold on to top spot and coasted to victory over Nil Satis. Raheem Sterling finished off a sparkling team move on 19 minutes and Ryan’s team only needed to add a clean from Toby Alderweireld to complete the win. There's a four-point gap now and the team in second are the red-hot Trusted. Beef’s five straight wins in the league have seen 20 goals for and three against and Claymore were bulldozed 6-1 this week. Gabriel Jesus scored twice before Anthony Knockaert and Bernardo Silva added goals in the last 11 minutes. This time last year Clive was embarking on a ten game league losing streak - he’s up to three…

The CFJs are still unbeaten after a 2-2 draw with San Dimas. David Silva opened the scoring for me but goals either side of half-time from Tammy Abraham might have won the game for Chris had it not been for Dejan Lovren’s clean. The Aardvarks lost their unbeaten record with a defeat at YTFIB, Joe Gomez’s clean for Julian the game’s only score.

Mega Bucks are up to sixth after edging the Wateringhole Society 3-2. Michail Antonio latched onto a massive clearance to open the scoring for Dave and the returning Wilf Zaha doubled the lead on half-time. Manolo Gabbiadini found his scoring boots to get two and draw Kiran level but Antonio Valencia’s clean for Mega Bucks was the last word in this one. Fred’s pursuit of back-to-back titles was dented by a reverse to the Artisans. An early Cesar Azpilicueta own goal saw Ben in Front but a Kyle Walker o.g. got things back on terms. Christian Eriksen struck almost straight away to restore the lead but that only lasted 15 minutes before Leroy Sane raced onto a pinpoint pass to thrash home. The game was settled in Ben’s favour by cleans from Fernandez and Darmian.

The Phoenix ended their bad trot with a comfortable win over Wheel Madrid. Timoue Bakayoko got his first for Brian’s team, Riyad Mahrez got his first of the campaign and Chris Wood headed home with five minutes left to finish the 3-0 win. After winning two of his first three Paul W is now in a bad trot of his own. Markian picked up their second win and leapfrogged their opponents, Cheese Makers into the bargain. Davidson Sanchez got the clean and the points for the home team.
