The Muppets are still going strong and saw off tough opponents in Claymore to lead with 20% of the season gone. Clive’s team were 2-0 up before the break too, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Jonny Evans getting the goals. Ryan’s fightback started with a great hit from Kevin de Bruyne on 67 minutes and cleans from Toby Alderweireld and Hector Bellerin completed the win. The CFJs are still second but have slipped two points behind after a draw with YTFIB. Ben Davies finished off a great move to put Chris and Co ahead but the CFJs couldn’t finish Julian’s team off and Christian Fuchs got a clean and a point.

The Aardvarks are also unbeaten but a second draw sees them lose ground. It could have been worse for Ady as a brace for Harry Kane (his second was a peach) and a last minute Diafra Sakho goal looked to have given Markian the win. Nacho Monreal got a clean to add to his early goal and Winston Reid also got a clean to grab Ady a point. Trusted are going the right way and are up to fourth after beating Athletico 3-0. Beef’s team left it late, Moussa Sissoko opening the scoring in injury time and opening the floodgates for cleans from Phil Jones and Ben Mee.

San Dimas are fifth and needed a late goal to grab a point at Wheel Madrid. A cool finish from Jeff Hendrick put Paul W in front on 21 minutes and I had Romelu Lukaku to thank (again) for his close range finish with four minutes left. Fred is sixth but lost his second game of the season. Mega Bucks were the victors and in style too. Phillips Coutinho is very much back in the Bandits fold and scored a screamer on 29 minutes and Fraser Forster doubled the lead with a saved penalty just before half-time. The expected Fred comeback didn’t happen and cleans from Lowton and Kolasinac sent the Bandits fans home happy.

Matthew and Kiran were expecting their game to be last on Match of the Day after their respective poor starts but a good game broke out. Juan Mata put the Cheesers ahead after just three minutes and Marouane Fellaini added a second ten minutes before the break but Joselu replied (a little flukily) for the Mighty Society straight away. Fellaini chested in a second from close range on 49 minutes and Richarlison put the game to bed in injury time. The last game on MOTD was the Artisans’ 1-0 win over Nil Satis through a Kyle Walker clean. Nothing else to add.
