After three weeks chasing Ady, Fred has gone back top. The Aardvarks suffered their first league defeat since November (week 11) at the hands of the Artisans. Roberto Firmino headed in an inviting cross on 16 minutes to give Ben the lead but Ady must have thought his run was going to stay intact when Alexandre Lacazette lobbed in with seven minutes left. The Artisans were not to be denied and got the winner five minutes later when Patrick van Aanholt found himself in loads of space on the left of the area and fired through the keeper’s legs. Fred has a much better goal difference then Ady and added to it with a big win over Wheel Madrid. Kurt Zouma thumped in a header on five minutes to give the Gardeners the lead and it was 1-0 at the break. Fred doubled his lead on 70 minutes through Lucas Moura but Jamie Vardy reduced the deficit on 82 minutes with a header of his own. A controversial Cesar Azpilicueta ‘offside’ goal two minutes later restored Fred’s two goal advantage before Angus Gunn and Zouma added cleans.

The Wateringhole Society have a five-point cushion in third after a 2-2 draw with Trusted. Early goals for both sides in this one. Conor Coady’s own goal had Kiran in front while Bernardo Silva fired into the corner after making room for himself to level all inside the first five minutes. Marcus Rashford got his eighth of the season to give the mighty Society a 2-1 lead before the half hour but Kiran’s side couldn’t hold out for all three points with Jeffrey Schlupp getting the equalising clean sheet. The Muppets stay fourth despite defeat to the CFJs. There was an own goal in this one too but it came right at the end. The Howells were ahead straight after the break courtesy of Victor Camarasa’s lovely volley, Ryan’s team levelled through yet another Luka Milivojevic penalty. The own goal was by the Muppets and it came in the last minute to give the CFJs the points. Toby Alderweireld found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time as the Muppets keeper pushed a weak header into him a couple of yards out.

The Phoenix are fifth after a goalless draw with Cheese Makers. San Dimas have dropped to seventh after a 1-0 defeat to Mega Bucks. Wes Morgan got the only goal of the game with a clever kind of back heel that he may not have known as much about as he made out. It was a good week for Claymore who took the Evertonian Derby to go with their cup semi-final win. Paul S had been 2-1 up in this one. Aaron Ramsey fired in off a post and Bernard finished off an excellent team move to turn the score round after Sergio Aguero had opened the scoring for Clive. It all changed round late on as Abdoulaye Doucoure skipped through to equalise and Claymore had cleans from Wan-Bissaka, Bednarek and Evans to wrap it up. YTFIB win! Clean sheets from Charlie Taylor and Ricardo Pereira were too much for a lacklustre Markian who have lost four league games in a row since going sixth.
