A second straight league game without a win for Claymore but again the chasers didn’t capitalise. Claymore needed two cleans to grab a point at the Aardvarks after Son Heung-Min and Alexandre Lacazette had scored in injury time. The Artisans stay second (on goal difference) after also being held to a 3-3 draw by The Muppets. Ben needing a Brandon Williams clean sheet for the point in a game where Toby Alderweireld scored at both ends.
Treated and San Dimas both missed the chance to close the gap at the top to six points. Beef’s team went down 2-1 at home to Stanley Athletic who are now up to third. Headers from Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire coming either side of Richarlison’s solo effort for Beef. My team went down by the same score at Nil Satis. Bernard’s sidefoot volley put Paul S in front early on, John Lundstram got me level with six minutes to go but Dominic Calvert-Lewin tucked away a rebound four minutes later to keep the points at St Domingo.
Mega Bucks are up to sixth after beating Wheel Madrid 2-0. P-E Aubameyang headed Dave’s team in front on 54 minutes and Caglar Soyuncu’s clean made it 2-0. The Wateringhole Society missed a chance to close on the top four with a single goal defeat at bottom club Markian. Rodri’s glancing header the only score of the game, giving the team a first win in ten games.
The CFJs beat Cheese Makers in remarkably similar style to the Cup match. Former Cheeser Billy Sharp scored in first half injury time to level Danny Ings opener and Mesut Ozil smacked in to get the winner for Chris in the final minute. YTFIB and Fred played out a draw at Bootham Crescent. Nicolas Pepe swept the Gardeners in front on 57 minutes but Ricardo Pereira’s clean gave Julian a share of the points.
