It was a poor first half, both sides looking rusty after the long break. The best chance fell to Joelinton who kind of fell over his own feet. There was a blow for Claymore just before the interval when Sergio Aguero was injured and he didn’t come back after the break,
Five minutes after the interval Clive’s team were reduced to ten men when John Egan picked up a second yellow. The CFJs couldn’t make the extra man count and with 12 minutes left it was the much-maligned Joelinton who prodded in after a great team move.
Claymore retain the trophy, it’s their fifth win in the competition, while the CFJs FA Cup jinx continues.
