The top two went head-to-head last week and when it finished they were still to the top two. Only in a different order. That’s a long way of saying that Ady now heads the table after a 3-2 win at the Artisans. The Aardvarks were two up at the break, Son Heung-Min and Sean Longstaff both being given too much time in the box. Ben’s team pulled one back on 56 minutes, Jarrod Bowen wit a deflected long-range effort only for Ollie Watkins to slam in at the near post to restore the advantage 18 minutes later. Jamal Lascelles' clean for the Artisans wasn’t enough to stop his team losing top spot. Markian stay third after turning round a losing situation against the Muppets. Ryan was two up in half an hour. Erling Haaland became the first player to ten counters this season when finding the corner from the edge of the D and Scott McTominay added a second. Ian’s comeback started with an early Destiny Udogie clean and Fabian Schar and Pedro Porro added two more to complete the 3-2 win.

Mega Bucks are back up to fourth after a 2-0 win at San Dimas. Declan Rice broke the deadlock on 77 minutes, returning a poor clearance into an empty goal and Ethan Pinnock added a clean. Game of the day was the 5-4 Cheese win over Wheels. Six minutes after the break Matthew’s team were 4-0 to the good. Julian Alvarez, Anthony Gordon and Douglas Luiz with a brace putting Matthew in pipe and slippers mode. James Maddison pulled one back but the four goal lead was soon restored courtesy of a Bryan Mbeumo stunner. Callum Wilson found space to bring it back to 5-2, clever feet from Leon Bailey and it was 5-3 and Joel Matip’s clean brought it back to 5-4 before time ran out for Paul W.

The Wateringhole also needed cleans to turn over Claymore. A Chris Wood double, his second a textbook header, had Clive 2-1 up after Mikhailo Mudryk had chipped in an equaliser for Kiran. Guglielmo Vicario and Ruben Dias notched the cleans that gave the Society three points. Stanley and Gracie edged YTFIB 1-0 to get back in the top half. A clever flick from Dominic Solanke after 17 minutes proving to be the only score in the game.

Fred left it late to beat Trusted 4-2. After Cole Palmer and Mohamed Salah had traded penalties Leandro Trossard arrived at the back post to put Beef 2-1 up with six minutes left. Salah equalised on the break deep in injury time and cleans from Joel Veltman and Cristian Romero proved the difference. The CFJs kept Nil Satis winless with a 2-1 victory. Yoann Wissa converted from three yards on 25 minutes with Ansu Fati equalising for Paul on 73 minutes. Parity lasted just three minutes as an early Kristoffer Ajer clean proved to be the winner.
