With none of last week's top half losing it's 'as you were' in the title race.

The CFJs followed up their PCMT win with victory at Nil Satis. Seamus Coleman rifled in from an angle early on to give Paul the lead but two goals from Nicolas Anelka before the break turned the game Chris's way and he finished matters in the second half. Claymore stay second after a routine win at YTFIB. It did take over an hour for Clive to break down Julian's defence but Olivier Giroud quiffed in from a free-kick to set the Swordsmen on the way.

Trusted paraded the Charity Shield (metaphorically) before their game against Mega Bucks and edged to victory. Edin Dzeko opened the scoring on 66 minutes for Beef, Steven Fletcher levelled with seven minutes left but a Michael Dawson clean earned all the points. San Dimas are still surprising me and goals from a revitalised Danny Welbeck and Romelu Lukaku were enough to hold off the Phoenix this week.

A lively start between the Muppets and Artisans had Ryan 2-1 up after seven minutes and he must have thought he was on the way to all the points when Frazier Campbell added to the lead before the hour. Ben hit back with cleans from Chiriches and Gibbs to share the spoils. The Aardvarks left it late but picked up their first win since week eight against Final Fantasy. Robert Koren poked in a rebound with six minutes left to break the deadlock and Vincent Kompany's clean doubled the advantage.

The other draw of the week came at the Stade De Fromage. No goals between Cheese and Parrots which enables Dean to clamber off the foot of the table. FCK2's recent revival was halted by Fred. Eden Hazard struck a brilliant first time effort to open the scoring on 17 minutes but Kevin was level on 67 when Kevin Nolan hooked in. The game could have gone either way but it was cleans from Vidic and Kolarov which kept the points at New Cromwell Street.

Paul Cartmell Memorial Trophy Final

Athletico Phoenix 0

v

The Cow-Faced Juniors 2
Hooper 13
Speroni [c]

(No cancelled cleans)

Att Wembley Stadium        Att: 90,000

Teams:

Phoenix: Marshall; Mertersacker, Williams, Lowton, Evra; Morrison; Januzaj, El Ahmadi, Cazorla; van Persie, Redmond
Subs: Friedel; Jenkinson; Mulumbu; Bendtner

CFJs: Speroni; Coloccini; Cameron, Vlaar, M.Turner; Sigurdsson, Ozil, Willian, Kim; Hooper, Suarez
Subs: Mannone; Riether; Pozuelo; Graham

This one won't go down as a classic final but Chris won't care when he parades the Trophy at Drove Stadium.  Brian's injury-hit team were employing project 'Stop Suarez' and while that worked Gary Hooper had too much room on 13 minutes and his long range effort took a deflection and looped over David Marshall and in.

With a clearly struggling Robin van Persie failing to make an impression Brian's best efforts came from Nathan Redmond and Karim El Ahmadi who had shots deflected over. The CFJs seemed happy to sit back and soak up the pressure and Julian Speroni was relatively untroubled. It was Chris's keeper who picked up the clean and ultimately clinched the win.

At Old Trafford. Att: 75,350

Trusted picked up their first trophy in seven seasons with a hard-fought victory over Claymore at a wet Old Trafford. The weather didn't dampen Trusted's start and the first serious attack brought a goal. Adam Lallana was given too much time by the Swordsmen's defence and he turned and fired in off a post from 25 yards after 13 minutes. The rest of the half passed without further worry at either end but Clive was perhaps the most relieved to get his team in at the break.

Ten minutes into the second half and Clive was ripping up the game plan after falling two behind. A low cross saw Jos Hooiveld get his feet all in a muddle and he slotted into his own goal. Claymore were throwing everything at it and pulled one back with six minutes left. The goal came from the most likely source, Ross Barkley. His all-action performance was capped by a superb free-kick going in off the underside of the bar.

The last few minutes almost saw Clive grab an equaliser. Olivier Giroud's sliding effort was blocked and Bacary Sagna had a header hacked off of the line in injury time. Beef's team hung on and become the first team to win all four WSFFL trophies.

What a season we have unfolding. 13 games in and nine points cover the top ten.

Trusted did their hopes no harm at all when beating the leaders last week. The CFJs seemed set for another win when Luis Suarez chipped his second of the game with six minutes left to make it 3-2 but cleans from Phil Bardsley and Ryan Shawcross give Beef a win that puts him up to third and stops Chris getting daylight at the top. Last year's runners-up Claymore are up to second after victory over the Parrots. It wasn't quite the 5-0 like the Charity Shield semi but then Dean didn't score two own goals this time! Sergio Aguero and Leon Osman had Clive two ahead inside 20 minutes and even though Gareth Barry notched a rare goal for the Parrots late on Clive had a clean in hand. Other results drop Dean back to the bottom.

San Dimas are still hanging around the top of the table and scored an excellent win at the Artisans. Two early goals from Danny Welbeck (his first of the season) and two from Theo Walcott (his first of the season as well) were all too much for Ben's side. The Muppets' charge has been stalled with a second successive defeat. FCK2 had been waiting since September for a win and finally got there. Nathan Dyer's opportunism put Kevin ahead on 12 minutes but Ryan looked to have earned a point with Raheem Sterling's last gasp goal. Cleans from Steven Caulker and Glen Johnson kept the points at Furze Fields.

The Aardvarks scored! First time in five games! But they didn't win. Peter Whittingham's header cancelled out by Curtis Davies clean for Mega Bucks. The Cheese Makers are going along nicely at the moment and a late turnaround at Nil Satis sent Matthew home with three points. Seamus Coleman put Paul ahead on 73 minutes but his keeper let a Kevin Mirallas shot underneath him in injury time and James Chester took advantage with the winning clean.

Final Fantasy are going in the right direction are Ceri's team turned round a three goal deficit to beat Fred. The Gardeners seemed to be cruising to the points when Fernandinho scored his second of the game to make it 3-0 on 88 minutes but when Yaya Toure tucked in a penalty on 90 the Fred frailties came back and three clean sheets completed a 4-3 win in Ceri's favour. YTFIB and Athletico. Played out a 1-1 draw. Dimitar Berbatov's cool spot-kick only cancelled by a last-gasp Per Mertersacker header. Brian's team have more in the treatment room than available ahead of the PCMT Final.

You know how Ady had his worst ever league defeat last week? Well, that record stood for seven days. The Aardvarks crashed 7-0 to the CFJs in a result that continues Ady's slump and sees Chris back on top of the league. Gary Hooper's goal was the only score of the first half but the floodgates opened after the hour. Chico armed in from a corner to make it two, Mesut Ozil slammed home from close range on 80 minutes and Luis Suarez headed in a minute later. Three clean sheets completed the rout. The Aardvarks now four games without scoring. The CFJs take over from The Muppets who fall to second after being beaten by Final Fantasy. Ceri's first win since August came through first-half goals from Cameron Jerome and a delightful finish from the hitherto ineffective Dani Osvaldo. Ryan only finding a Danny Gabbidon clean in reply.

The Artisans missed a chance to join Chris at the top by falling 4-3 to YTFIB. Julian had the lead at half-time thanks to Peter Crouch but Ben had turned things round 12 minutes into second period thanks to excellent strikes from Steven Ireland and a rejuvenated Marouane Chamakh. Ten minutes later the scores were level when Martin Skrtel steered into his own goal but a deflected shot off Joey O'Brien had the Artisans back in front on 84 minutes. Clean sheets from Dean Moxey and Phillipe Senderos turned this game in YTFIB's favour and hauled Julian off the bottom. Claymore's great recent form came to an end at the Stade de Fromage. Clive led this one twice, early on through Sergio Aguero and late thanks to Leroy Fer but Matthew hit back both times with excellent efforts from Yohan Cabaye and Oussama Assaidi. That last minute equaliser rocked Clive and the Cheesers finished the game off with cleans from Davide Santon and Sebastian Bassong.

Trusted are inching up the table and won ugly this week over in-form Nil Satis. The only goal was an unlucky deflection off John O'Shea. That was one more goal than at the San Dimas, FCK2 game. A dreary affair only livened by Kevin Nolan's late sending off. It's a result that drops Kevin to the foot of the table, 10 weeks after he topped it.

As well as YTFIB the two other teams who were on nine points last week both won. Fred West were home and dry by the break against Mega Bucks. Andre Schurrle opened the scoring on nine minutes, a deflection off Guy Demel on 42 doubled the lead and Paulinho stabbed in a minute later. Schurrle added an even better second eight minutes after the break. All Dave could muster was a John Ruddy clean. The Dead Parrots capitalised on Athletico's poor league form and picked up a 4-0 victory over Brian's team, all through clean sheets. Won't someone stick it to the Aussies!

Charity Shield semi-finals

The holders crash out and we have two big-name finalists.

Claymore Athletic FC 5 v 0 The Dead Parrots
Trusted By Millions 1 v 0 Mega Buck Bandits

Claymore and Trusted will face off to see which will be the team to get their name on the Charity Shield and complete the set of all four WSFFL trophies on 21 December. Clive needed some help to see off The Dead Parrots though. Sergio Aguero had fired the Swordsmen ahead on nine minutes but it was more than an hour before the lead doubled when an unlucky rebound bounced in off Mathieu Debuchy. And if one own goal wasn't enough, Costel Pantilimon deflected into his own net with five minutes left. Our holders were broken by this point and two cleans followed to complete the rout.

The other semi-final was much closer and again was settled by only one goal. Jay Rodriguez thumped in a header just after the restart and it proved enough for Beef to progress at Dave's expense.

Paul Cartmell Memorial Trophy semi-final results

Looks like the holders are keen to hang on to the Trophy.

Athletico Phoenix 1 v 0 San Dimas High School
The Cow-Faced Juniors 9 v 3 The Fabulous Artisans

The CFJs will get the chance to defend the Trophy at Wembley on Boxing Day after a nine-goal demolition of the Artisans,  Luis Suarez doing the main damage with a stunning first-half hat-trick. Every time Ben tried to get a foothold in the match the CFJs would reply. Chamakh pulled it back to 3-1 before the break with a glancing header but Mesut Ozil struck at the near post just after half time. Vlad Chiriches picked out the bottom corner from 30 yards to bring it back to 4-2 but Suarez converted a free-kick a minute later to restore the advantage. A long range shot from Jonjo Shelvey got it back to 5-3 but then Chris's cleans rolled in to complete the competition's biggest win.

Athletico Phoenix will be the CFJs opponents in the Final after edging out San Dimas. If my team had made it through we would have had a repeat of last year's final but Brian settled this game early on. The only goal coming in the second minute from the unlikely head of Nicklas Bendtner.

A 2-0 win for the Muppets over Mega Bucks keeps Ryan top. Both goals were second-half efforts from midfielders Mo Diame and Joe Cole. The CFJs are a point behind in second. Chris needing a Ron Vlaar clean sheet to edge out Fred after Sandro's cracking equaliser.

The Artisans got back to winning ways seeing off the Parrots 4-0. Alvaro Negredo got things moving with an early free-kick, Chris Brunt and two cleans did the rest of the damage. Claymore's great form continues, Clive seeing off Athletico Phoenix 3-0 with a Wayne Rooney brace setting up the win.

San Dimas are still at the happy end of the table after eking out a 3-2 win over Final Fantasy. Sylvain Distin's clean was the difference after Ceri's team had come from behind twice and looked like grabbing a point. Story of the day was Paul's 6-0 win over Ady. According to my records it's the Aardvarks' heaviest league defeat. Aaron Ramsey (the new Gareth Bale?) got two more and John O'Shea, Seamus Coleman and Brian Oviedo also got in on the act.

Goals from Steven Gerrard and Gary Cahill made it back-to-back league wins for Trusted for the first time this season, Matthew's Cheese Makers the victims. YTFIB got their first win since week one. Samir Nasri's brace delivering victory over FCK2 but not hauling Julian off the bottom.
