Two-thirds of the way through the season (one game excepted) and three teams are locked together at the top.

The Muppets stay at the head of affairs despite a big defeat to Athletico. Daniel Sturridge raced on to a superb through ball to open the scoring for Ryan just before the break but he was unable to increase his lead. Brian has looked to his big names this season but it was one of his lesser lights, Victor Anichebe, that glanced the equaliser with three minutes left. Then the Phoenix big guns brought out the cleans, Per Mertersacker, Jan Vertonghen and Patrice Evra bringing home the points for Brian's team. Claymore stay second but now have a game in hand after their game against San Dimas fell victim to the wind.

Trusted join the top two on 37 points after a 2-0 victory over Final Fantasy. Beef left it late with an injury time penalty from Steven Gerrard and a James Tomkins clean against Ceri's depleted team. The CFJs missed a chance to close in on the leaders crashing 3-1 to Cheese Makers. Everyone's current favourite player Chico Flores put Chris in front just after the break but Matthew levelled with a scrambled Jose Fonte goal. Fonte also provided a clean as did Nemanja Vidic for his new club to secure the points.

In the last couple of seasons the Aardvarks have looked to mount a challenge and then fallen away. It could be happening again. Ady looked like getting back in the shake-up when two more goals from Emanuel Adebayor had him well placed against FCK2 but he was unable to get the job done and Kevin struck back through cleans from Luke Shaw and Steven Caulker to grab a point. Looks like the Artisans hopes of silverware are gone for this season after a defeat to Fred. Paulinho put the Gardeners in front but a James Collins header levelled matters and set the game up for a grandstand finish. That finish came from Fred's Nacer Chadli, excellently curling a shot form outside the area into the far top corner with two minutes left.

Mega Bucks are in a fine vein of form right now and took advantage of a Nil Satis team missing some regulars. Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring for Dave late on, Artur Boruc and Guy Demel added cleans. When Dean assesses why his team are bottom he might want to consider Kolo Toure's contribution. This week against YTFIB the Ivorian spooned a cross into his own goal in the first ten minutes and it was downhill from there. Peter Crouch and a Ben Turner clean now give Julian a six point advantage over the Parrots.
