Halfway through the season and Fred’s lead is six points. Defeat to Ady trimmed the gap from nine, two goals from Son Heung-Min making the difference in the Aardvarks' favour. The Wateringhole Society are on the same points as the Aardvarks after beating the CFJs 3-1. Alex Iwobi’s injury time goal and a Nathan Ake clean got Kiran all three points.

Athletico are in rare form at the moment and made it five wins in a row with a 4-1 win over the Muppets. Among the scorers for Brian were Nathan Redmond with his first of the season and Virgil van Dijk who’s making a bid for Player of the Season honours. Nil Satis are fifth despite a 4-2 defeat to Mega Bucks. P-E Aubameyang with another two goals for Dave as he chases the Golden Boot.

Markian leapfrogged San Dimas with a 4-2 win over those opponents. Another brace from Harry Kane doing the main damage. My team are in rotten form going into the PCMT Final with no league win since Week 8. Wheel Madrid, the other finalists, aren’t much better though. They’ve lost eight of their last ten in the league and went down to Cheese Makers this week. Troy Deeney’s spot-kick and Steve Cook’s clean got Matthew back to winning ways.

Remember that stat from early in the season that said the Artisans were slow starters? Well they’re in full flow now. Ben’s team ran riot at Trusted this week winning 6-1 after being a goal down at the break with Jesse Lingard adding two to his season total. YTFIB are still bottom but are only six points off the top half. David Brooks scored twice and Ilkay Gundogan added a header for Julian before Clive narrowed the deficit with a couple of cleans.
