The Artisans keep a four point lead despite a late scare against Markian. The bottom-placed team took a shock lead through an excellent Gylfi Sigurdsson strike two minutes into injury time. but couldn’t hold on and went down to clean sheets from Aaron Ramsdale and Lucas Digne. San Dimas are still Ben’s nearest pursuers. My team beat the CFJs 2-0 with first half goals from Lys Mousset (he opened his WSFFL account with a close-range poke) and David Silva (a lovely left-foot volley).

Claymore are third but lost ground on the top two with a 2-2 draw against Trusted. Abdoulaye Doucoure’s early goal for Clive was cancelled out by Gabriel Jesus’s diving header before the break. Youri Tielemans crashed in off the bar with 16 minutes to restore Clive’s lead but Beef hit back to draw through Fikayo Tomori’s clean sheet. Wheels are up to fourth but were held to a 3-3 draw with Cheese Makers. Paul W’s team twice had a two goal advantage. Jamie Vardy and Jack Grealish scored just before the break but Danny Ings pulled one back for Matthew eight minutes into the second half. Adam Lallana restored the advantage five minutes from time when he arrived at the back post to score his first since May 2017 but cleans from Steve Cook and Yerry Mina meant the points were shared.

The Muppets are down to fifth after going down to a one goal defeat to the Aardvarks. Max Aarons' clean was the difference and lifts Ady to the heady heights of 13th. Athletico are a point behind Wheels and the Muppets after beating Mega Bucks 2-0. Chris Wood headed Brian in front and Tim Krul’s clean, putting him on the score sheet for the first time in nearly five years, made it 2-0.

Nil Satis are back in the top half after beating YTFIB 2-0, Bernard twisted and turned like the proverbial twisty, turny thing to score on 17 minutes and Chris Basham got the clean to make the points safe. Wateringhole round out the top half after a 2-2 draw with Fred. Kiran was 2-0 up in this one, Marcus Rashford and Raul Jimenez, from the spot after having two goals disallowed, in five minutes around the hour mark. Dele Alli reduced the deficit with four minutes left (hint of handball?) and Cesar Azpilicueta’s clean was the equaliser for the Gardeners.
