Nil Satis stay league leaders into the international break. Paul S’ team saw off the Muppets 2-1 this week. Bernard getting a rare goal on 19 minutes, firing in from the edge of the box, and Rui Patricio’s penalty save doubled the lead 20 minutes later. Ryan’s reply came from James Tarkowski’s clean but it wasn’t enough. After a setback last week the Aardvarks returned to their early season form with a 2-1 win at Claymore. Two goals from Ollie Watkins in the space of four second-half minutes set Ady up for the win and Clive could only find a Matty Cash clean in response.

Stanley are up to third after putting five past Wheel Madrid where it seems to be feast or famine this season. Paul W’s team has scored four or more three times and conceded four or more four times. It was a conceding week.Wheels took the lead too, Jamie Vardy from the penalty spot after 15 minutes, but the striker missed a second spot-kick after Ben Chilwell had levelled at the far post for Aaron. Wheels did go 2-1 up with 13 minutes left with a flick header from Thiago Silva but it was all Stanley after that. Timo Werner slammed in on 80 minutes, Stuart Armstrong made it 3-2 two minutes later and Alex McCarthy and Arthur Masuaku added clean sheets. The CFJs followed up their 7-2 wn last week by beating a toothless San Dimas 5-0. A brilliant free-kick from Eberechi Eze on 22 minutes was soon followed by a scuffed finish from Tammy Abraham. My team held it at two until injury time when Thomas Soucek’s sidefoot effort was soon followed by Edison Cavani’s first WSFFL goal and a Jan Bednarek clean for Chris and Co.

Mega Bucks slipped to fifth after going down 3-0 at home to the Artisans. Patrick Bamford volleyed in after 27 minutes to make up for his earlier effort that was ruled out by a dubious offside call. Ben had to wait until injury time to clinch the points with a penalty save from Lukasz Fabianski and a Jonny Evans clean. Fred’s team are now upwardly mobile and are sixth after a 3-1 win Le Stade de Fromage. Mo Salah scored a 13th minute penalty and the Gardeners were out of sight by the break thanks to a Bruno Fernandes brace. Matt Targett’s clean was only a consolation for Matthew.

The Wateringhole Society lost ground after a 3-1 defeat to YTFIB. A clever David McGoldrick flick after nine minutes put Julian’s team ahead and then Bukayo Saka and Helder Costa swapped unfortunate own goals before half-time. Charlie Taylor’s clean for YTFIB finished the scoring. Trusted By Millions picked up their first win of the campaign after beating Markian 3-2. A great first time strike by Che Adams was quickly cancelled out by Scott Dann’s header but Beef was soon ahead again with an instinctive turn and first time shot from the fit again Gabriel Jesus. That lead lasted until two minutes from time when a deft Harry Kane header equalised for Ian but Beef took the points with an Adam Webster clean.
