A change of lead with Fred taking over by virtue of having scored one goal more than Ady. The Gardeners ended San Dimas’ run of eight without a defeat with a 3-1 win. A brilliant Bruno Fernandes goal just before halftime put Fred ahead and when Antonio Rudiger poked past his own keeper ten minutes into the second half it was 2-0. Mo Salah’s penalty made it three and Fred could allow me an Antonee Robinson consolation clean. The Aardvarks got past Stanley 3-2 to move six points ahead of those rivals. Ollie Watkins opened the scoring inside two minutes and Lewis Dunk had added a second before half-time. A brilliant James Ward-Prowse free-kick reduced the deficit on 48 minutes but it was 3-1 ten minutes later when Son Heung-Min finished off a breakaway. Craig Dawson’s clean didn’t change the destination of the points but did knock the Aardvarks off the top.

The Artisans swept struggling Markian aside 6-1 to keep on the leaders’ heels. Ben’s team led through Mason Mount’s first-time finish and Patrick Bamford pounced a rebound to double the lead seven minutes after the break. The returning Harry Kane had time and space to pull one back for Ian two minutes laster but the Artisans had cleans from Fabianski, Alioski, Evans and Tete to make it an eighth straight defeat for the bottom side. The Wateringhole lost ground going down 3-1 to a recovering Claymore. Takumi Minamino gave Kiran the lead on the half-hour but Claymore were the stronger after the break. Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguea had turned the game around with goals within seven minutes of the restart and Aaron Cresswell finished it off with a clean.

The CFJs did all their good work in the first half of their 3-1 win over Wheel Madrid. Edison Cavani put the Cows in front on 24 minutes, Miguel Almiron doubled the lead two minutes later and found another goal in first half injury time. Wheels could only muster a second-half Jorginho penalty in response. Trusted had gone seven without defeat before running into Nil Satis this weekend. Joe Willock’s early goal looked to have given Beef all the Points but Dominic Calvert-Lewin finished off a knockdown deep into injury time and Stuart Dallas got the winning clean while Beef’s team were still reeling.

Three goals in 14 minutes gave the Muppets a PCMT Final repeat win over Mega Bucks. Jack Harrison’s early deflected shot had Dave ahead for over an hour before Scott McTominay, Raheem Sterling and a stunner from Phil Foden turned the game on its head. Luke Ayling’s clean in reply for the Bandits wasn’t enough for a point. Ilkay Gundogan skied a first-half penalty for YTFIB against Cheese Makers but made up for it in the second half with two close range finishes to complete the win for Julian.
