Kiran stays top but his margin is down to one point after a first league defeat, 3-2 to the Aardvarks. Jordan Henderson’s superb side-foot from 18 yards put Ady ahead on four minutes but a clever chip from Raul Jimenez brought Kiran level on 32. Parity lasted two minutes before Ollie Watkins’ low shot from 12 yards saw Ady back in front but that lead lasted just two minutes before Maxwell Cornet found the top corner to level it 2-2. The score stayed like that for yes, two minutes, when a Declan Rice drive found the far corner from 25 yards to restore the Aardvarks’ lead and that was the end of the scoring. Claymore are second after a 1-0 win over Nil Satis, the only goal of the game a stunning volley from Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Artisans are also just a point off the top after a 3-2 win over Mega Bucks. Dave led twice in this one too. Wilf Zaha opening the scoring on six minutes only for Emile Smith Rowe to make no mistake from 14 yards 12 minutes later to bring the scores level. Matt Lowton headed Dave back in front 13 minutes before the break but Ben’s team took the points with cleans from Aaron Ramsdale and Mohammed Salisu. The CFJs are fourth but lost ground after a 4-3 defeat to the Muppets. 2-2 after an hour the game was decided by two emphatic strikes from Muppets defender Reece James. “He shoots like a horse” said Thomas Tuchel (whoever he is.)

Trusted are fifth but slipped further back after a 2-2 draw at Stanley. Raphinha and Leandro Trossard scored in ten second-half minutes to put Beef in control but Aaron’s team struck back with cleans from Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell. Fred is a further point behind after a goalless draw with bottom-placed Markian. Will the champions come to rue that result? San Dimas’ good start is retreating in the rear view mirror after another defeat, 1-0 to Wheel Madrid this time. Jorginho’s late penalty settling it in Paul W’s favour. It was an early goal that won the game between Cheese Makers and YTFIB. Chris Wood lofting in from the edge of the area after just four minutes to give Matthew a first win since August.
