The top three got wins to create a bit of separation at the top. The Wateringhole edged out bottom-placed Markian 2-0. An unlucky Mason Holgate own goal and a Ruben Dias clean getting the job done for Kiran. Claymore keep in touch after a 2-0 win over Fred. A mis-hit shot from Teemu Pukki after 38 seconds wasn’t added to until Aaron Cresswell’s clean completed the scoring. A daft sending off for Gabriel Martinelli didn’t help The Gardeners' cause. Trusted got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win at Wheel Madrid Both goals came in the last half hour, Diego Llorente slamming in from close range on 63 minutes and Che Adams' well-placed header seven minutes from time.

The teams in fourth and fifth both drew. The CFJs 2-2 with Cheese Makers, The Artisans 1-1 with Stanley. Gabriel got the close range opener for the Cows but Matthew led after a debut strike from Philippe Coutinho and a first of the season from Ryan Fraser. Aymeric Laporte got the equalising clean. Ben’s team were denied all the points by a Virgil van Dijk clean after Jarrod Bowen’s deflected shot had put him ahead on 68 minutes. If a team is going to come out of the pack to challenge the top three will it be the Aardvarks? They put Nil Satis away 5-1 this week after going behind to Paul Pogba’s first of the season. Diego Jota struck twice for Ady with Son Heung-Min getting one in-between. Cleans from Ben White and Kieran Tierney rounded out the scoring.

San Dimas hold on to the last place in the top half after a 1-1 draw with Mega Bucks. Riyad Mahrez scored from the spot for me five minutes before the break, Wilf Zaha equalised with a stunner on the hour for Dave but also missed a penalty. Dan James doubled his tally for the season with a brace for YTFIB but was on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline against the Muppets. Jason Ramsey scored two of his own with Armando Broja getting his first WSFFL goal, Kevin De Bruyne scoring after a keeper blunder and Emerson’s clean completing the scoring for Ryan.
