The Wateringhole Society continue at the top after a 3-2 win at the Aardvarks. Dejan Kulusevski looks another shrewd Kiran signing and put the Society ahead on 15 minutes but his side were on the back foot late in the second half. Ollie Watkins, on 64 minutes, and Son Heung-Min, five minutes from time, both raced on to through balls to score and put Ady ahead. Kiran’s team earned the win with cleans from Ruben Dias and Ezri Konsa. Trusted are still hot on the leaders’ heels after a 3-0 win over Stanley. All the goals came in the first half. Jeff Schlupp opened the scoring on nine minutes, poking in from six yards, Che Adams hooked in from even closer on 36 minutes before an unmarked Joe Willock smacked high into the net a minute from the break.
Claymore are two points further behind after beating Evertonian rivals Nil Satis 3-1. Matt Doherty arrived at the far side of the box to fire Paul S ahead on 10 minutes but the lead only lasted seven minutes before Matty Cash smacked in off the post from the edge of the box to bring Clive level. There were no more goals but Claymore took the win through cleans from Cash and John Stones. Another two points back are the CFJs who beat the Muppets 4-1 to keep their title hopes alive. Tomas Soucek stuck out a leg to steer a cross in and put the Cows ahead just before the hour but Ryan’s team were level eight minutes from time when Phil Foden reacted quickest to a loose ball to score from close in. Three cleans from Tino Livramento, Jan Bednarek and Aymeric Laporte delivered the win to Chris and Co.
The Artisans are nine points behind but not completely out of the picture after a 3-0 win at Mega Bucks. Clean sheets all the way for Ben this week with Mohammed Salisu, Victor Lindelof and Emil Krafth on the scoresheet. San Dimas drew 1-1 with Wheel Madrid to stay seventh. Joelinton (best midfielder in Europe right now?) delivered a towering far post header to put me ahead after 33 minutes but I couldn’t finish the game off and a Raphael Varane clean meant the points were shared.
Cheese Makers are back in the top half following a 2-0 win over YTFIB. It was cleans for Andrew Robertson and Tyrone Mings that saw Matthew home. Fred edged Markian 2-1 and the Gardeners are slowly climbing the table. Ian went ahead when Harry Kane steered a volley across the keeper after 27 minutes. The lead lasted until 83 minutes when Pepe controlled with his right foot, pirouetted and finished with his left before Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s clean gave Fred all three points.
