The league’s two red-hot teams delivered a fantastic 4-4 draw. Ady started the better with Cameron Archer’s solo goal and Diogo Jota header putting him two up on 31 minutes. Trusted hit back and then some. James McAtee’s penalty, Dara O’Shea’s header and a Leandro Trossard curler put Beef ahead at the half time. Ruben Diaz made it 4-2 seven minutes after the break but the Aardvarks weren’t done. Pape Sarr pulled it back to 4-3 just after the hour and Ben White’s early clean was the equaliser. It leaves Ady three points ahead of Claymore who are now the nearest pursuers. Clive’s team beat Cheese Makers 2-1. Rasmus Hojlund was left unmarked to put Claymore ahead after 17 minutes, Douglas Luiz hooked into the roof of the net to level midway through the second half only for the returning John Stones to get the winning clean.

The Artisans have won only three of their last eight but are still only four points behind. Ben’s team went down 2-0 to San Dimas. Anthony Elanga put my team ahead on the break after 26 minutes, Marcos Senesi turned and fired in five minutes after the interval to complete the scoring. The Wateringhole Society lead three teams just six points off the top. Kiran’s team boosted their goal difference with a 7-0 win at Wheel Madrid. Bukayo Saka with a brace and William Saliba, a goal and a clean, both move into double figures for the season. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ivan Toney and Ruben Dias were also on target.

SGU are fifth after a 2-0 win over Nil Satis. Pascal Gross opened the scoring with a 17th minute penalty, Enzo Fernandez wrapped it up in second half injury time. The CFJs are the third of our 35-pointers. Chris and Co. turned it round late at Markian. Darwin Nunez had put Ian 2-1 up with 11 minutes to go only for Brennan Johnson to smash in at the far post deep in injury time and Sergio Reguilon to get the winning clean.

Both of the Muppets regular scorers were on target in a come-from-behind 3-1 win over YTFIB. Erland Haaland scored twice to extend his lead in the Golden Boot race (he’s on 17), Scott McTominay was also on target and is just ten behind the Norwegian!. After a dreadful run Mega Bucks turned in their best performance of the season to beat Fred 5-0. Bruno Guimaraes got his first goals of the season, Carlton Morris scored a penalty and Declan Rice hit a 30-yard screamer before Nathan Ake rubbed it in with a clean sheet.
