The Artisans were the only team in the top five to win so Ben’s side have a two-point lead with five games to go. The Artisans left it late to take the points at Claymore with clean sheets from Walker, Alioski and Digne giving the score a comfortable 3-0 look. Fred’s 2-2 draw at Mega Bucks knocked him off the top. Twice in the lead from Mo Salah and Timothy Castagne, the Gardeners were pegged back first by Wilf Zaha’s goal and then George Baldock’s clean.

The CFJs were held 1-1 by Markian but moved up a place. Aymeric Laporte’s late goal looked like delivering the win but Luke Shaw’s clean grabbed a point for Ian. The Aardvarks lost ground in the race after slipping to a defeat at Wheel Madrid. Thiago Silva’s clean proving the only score in the game.

Trusted went down 3-1 to Stanley to make their quest for back to back titles a tad more difficult. Timo Werner scored two minutes before the break but Beef surely thought he’d earned a draw when Joe Willock was on target five minutes into injury time. Cleans from Chilwell and Lindelof brought a welcome win for Aaron. Matheus Pereira opened the scoring from the spot on 23 minutes to give the Wateringhole the lead against San Dimas before an unfortunate own goal by Bernd Leno with 14 minutes left levelled the scores and my team went on to win through a Rudiger clean.

Cheese Makers jumped into the top half with a 4-3 win over Nil Satis. Matthew’s team raced into a 4-0 lead at the break, Anwar El Ghazi’s early penalty followed by a Chris Wood hat-trick. A Tyrone MIngs own goal straight after half-time gave Paul S some hope but cleans from Dallas and Coleman meant they came up just short. YTFIB hit the 30 point mark after a 2-1 win at the Muppets. David McGoldrick’s 19th minute goal was cancelled out 10 minutes from time by another from Kelechi Iheanacho but Julian won it with a Ben Godfrey clean.
