The CFJs’ lead is down to a single point after defeat to the Artisans. Carlos Alcaraz capitalised on a defensive mistake inside the first minute to set Ben on his way, Martin Odegaard’s late strike meant there was no coming back for the Cows. Fred polished off Wheel Madrid 5-0 to close the gap at the top and level up on goal difference too. Wheels haven’t troubled the scorers since a 5-0 win of their own over Nil Satis in Week 18.

The battle for third has hotted up after another Wateringhole defeat, this time 4-2 to the Aardvarks. A second brace in a week from Diogo Jota had Ady 3-0 up and though Ivan Toney and Bukayo Saka brought it back to 3-2 Jordan Pickford’s clean got the Aardvarks over the line. Markian could have joined the Wateringhole on 43 points with a win but had to settle for a 3-3 draw with San Dimas, I was grateful for my defence grabbing a couple of cleans after trailing 3-1. Ben is next on 39 points and a point behind him is Cup Final opponent Beef. Trusted beat YTFIB 5-1 with two early Alexander Isak goals setting him on his way. SGU are a point further back following a 2-1 win over Claymore, midfielders Harry Wilson (his first of the season) and Andreas Pereira getting Aaron's goals in a 15-minute spell in the second half.

The Muppets lead the way in the bottom half of the table which is now five points adrift of the top eight. After falling behind to a Michail Antonio header Ryan’s team turned it round with a Kelechi Iheanacho penalty and a James Tarkowski clean to beat the Bandits 2-1. A 0-0 draw with Nil Satis wasn’t enough for Matthew to climb above Dave’s team, and off the bottom, on goals scored.
