After a week away from the summit the Artisans are back on top. Ben’s team went to the Wateringhole and picked up a 2-1 win. Dejan Kulusevski's deflected shot put Kiran in front on six minutes but Jarrod Bowen levelled from close in 20 minutes alter and a tight game was settled by a Diogo Dalot clean sheet. As the Artisans were winning the Aardvarks were losing, 3-1 to Nil Satis. Vitaly Mykolenko scored at the second attempt after seven minutes to put Paul ahead. Jeremy Doku, who was completely running the show, made it two after half an hour and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde fired in a third in the last minute before Andre Onana could reply with a lone clean for Ady.
Markian keep the pressure on the top two following a 2-1 win at Fred. Bruno Fernandes scored in injury time to look like he’d won the game for the Gardeners but Ian hit back with cleans from Fabian Schar and Oleksandr Zinchenko. Cheese Makers are a point further back after a 2-1 win at the CFJs. A spectacular volley from Mohammed Kudus had the Cows ahead on 19 minutes, a controversial Anthony Gordon tap-in levelled the game 19 minutes after the break and Serge Aurier got the winning clean for Matthew.
It’s another point back to Stanley and Gracie after their 3-1 win at the Muppets. A composed Phil Foden finish put Ryan ahead not long after the hour but Aaron turned it round with cleans from Harry Maguire, Joachim Andersen and Kieran Trippier. It’s another point back to Claymore in sixth who beat Mega Bucks (a point further back in seventh!) 2-1. Neil Maupay scored a three-yard header in 11 minutes to put Dave ahead, Clive was level at the break as Manuel Akanji deflected a wayward shot home. John Stones early clean proved the winner for Clive.
Trusted were the big winners of the week putting six past Wheel Madrid without reply. Two goals from Bernardo Silva, a goal and a clean from Jeffrey Schlupp, a spot-kick from Cole Palmer and an injury time strike from Luis Diaz did the damage for Beef and dropped Paul W to the foot of the table. YTFIB beat San Dimas 2-1 to move up to 11th. Nathan Collins headed Julian ahead with 21 minutes to go, Joel Ward pocketed an early clean a minute later which meant Tyrick Mitchell’s injury time goal for me was mere consolation.
