2017/18 Co-Ord Round-up Part Five - 13th-16th

My annual assessment of the WSFFL teams starts with the bottom four.

13th: Nil Satis Nisi Optimum (up one place on last season)
No trophy this season (defeat to the CFJs in the Charity Shield Final) but more points and up one place. The forwards struggled to make an impression so Paul will be looking to Theo Walcott and maybe the return of Ademola Lookman for goals next term.
What happened to last year's Star Player? He got even better and was this year's Star Player too.

Star Player: Marcos Alonso (five goals, 17 cleans)

14th: YTFIB (up two places)
First time off the bottom for five seasons for Julian. He did have eyes on the top ten for a bit but picked up just two wins in 2018. The defence did well (especially the keeper), the more attacking players much less so and need an overhaul.
What happened to last year's Star Player? Age and injury limited Zlatan to few appearances and an early exit.

Star Player: Nick Pope (ten cleans, one saved penalty)

15th: Wheel Madrid (down eight places)
A touch of 'difficult second season syndrome' for Paul. Jamie Vardy couldn't do it all on his own and big performers David Luiz and Adam Lallana barely featured while Gareth McAuley got old. The manager may have to consider the future of keeper Loris Karius among his transfer business.
What happened to last year's Star Player? David Luiz hardly got a kick.

Star Player: Jamie Vardy (18 goals)

16th: The Wateringhole Society (down one place)
Kiran's team actually won more games this season than last but a lot of draws turned into defeats. Big signing Davy Klaassen was a flop while Manolo Gabbiadini didn't look the same player after injury  The manager will no doubt be working the market again looking for the hidden gems.
What happened to last year's Star Player? This was a disappointing campaign for Michael Keane.

Star Player: Marcus Rashford (seven goals)
