2017/18 Co-Ord Round-up Part one - Transfer dealings

The usual quick round-up of where the fake money went.

Income

In 2016/17 we had a new record of just over £660m. 2017/18 said 'hold my pint' and smashed that by more than £160m. Yep,  £824.76m is the new benchmark.

Three teams brought in over £100m where I believe that had only happened twice before. The new single team record is now £151m.

Expenditure

Another record. Last year's £700m record was another shattered, this time to the tune of £131m.
Three teams spent over £85m - 11 of the 16 spent more than £40m.

Overall

So all that money swimming about and the league only saw a loss of just over £6m. This is a record low as this list shows.

2006/07 -£257.9m
2007/08 -£207.1m
2008/09 -£146.9m
2009/10 -£11m
2010/11 -£146.5m
2011/12 -£205.6m
2012/13 -£200.8m
2013/14 -£160.5m
2014/15 -£140.2m
2015/16 -£146.1m
2016/17 -£39.5m
2017/18 -£6.2m

Four teams made profits in excess of £35m, one team lost over £50m and three more had transfer deficits of between £25m and £35m.
