2021/22 Co-Ord Round-up Part Seven - 5th-8th

5th: The Cow-Faced Juniors (same place as last year)
No improvement on position but the Cows had a shot at the title going into the last day. It was a patchy campaign, ultimately undone by only one win in the last four. Defensively this team is solid but goals are hard to come by and that's where the management team will surely look to strengthen this summer.

What happened to last year's Star Player? Edouard Mendy had another good year but not as good as...

Star Player: Gabriel (five goals, 12 cleans)

6th: Cheese Makers (up three)
The January signings of Eriksen and Coutinho helped Matthew to a highest ever finish and points total. A particularly good outcome after just one win in the first seven. It could have been better if Bryan Mbeumo hadn't hit the post seven times! Could Julian Alvarez help bring a trophy to Le Stade next season?

What happened to last year's Star Player? One of last year's winners won again, Tyrone Mings also had another good campaign.

Star Player: Andrew Robertson (three goals, 16 cleans)

7th: Stanley Athletic FC (up one)
A first trophy for Aaron came in the shape of the FA Cup but just one win in December an January knocked out any hopes of a first title. Was very unlucky with the 'counters against' total and injuries to Chilwell and Trippier didn't help. Needs to solve the Timo Werner/goals issue sooner rather than later.

What happened to last year's Star Player? Chilwell's injury stopped any chance of a repeat.

Star Player: Virgil van Dijk (two goals, 22 clean sheets)

8th: San Dimas High School (up five)
Back in their usual 5th-9th place and a top half finish for a bonus. The defence must be among the league's best but there is nowhere near enough goals in this team and the £50m signing of Jadon Sancho did little to change that. Losing this year's Star Player will be a blow if not adequately replaced.

What happened to last year's Star Player? Joao Cancelo had another very good season but lost out to...

Star Player: Antonio Rudiger (three goals, 14 cleans)
