FCK2 still proudly on top after a second win. In their first match at Furze Fields Kevin's team secured a comfortable win over Nil Satis. Darren Bent wasn't always in favour under the previous regime but opened the scoring from close range on 77 minutes. John Terry and Rio Ferdinand added clean sheets to round off the win and drop Paul's team to bottom spot. Final Fantasy are doing their best to build on last season and a 3-0 win over the CFJs is the way to do it. Aron Gunnarsson opened the scoring on the hour, slamming home after a goal mouth scramble, and Gareth McAuley and Jose Enrique finished this one with clean sheets. Chris is still without a goal this season.

It's been a while since Real Muppets were title contenders but is this the year Ryan is at the sharp end again? Daniel Sturridge looks the part up front and he skipped through the Parrots' defence on 21 minutes to break the deadlock. The only other score in this game was a Daniel Agger clean and the defeat leaves Dean still without a point. San Dimas are the last of our 100%ers. My strikers haven't started firing yet but clean sheets from Sylvain Distin and Kyle Walker saw me past YTFIB 2-0.

The Aardvarks are fifth after a resounding win over Athletico Phoenix. Summer signing Robbie Brady opened the scoring from the spot and a brace from Lukas Podolski either side of the break had Ady in control. We were waiting for a Robin van Persie inspired fightback for Brian but it never came and a Danny Rose clean iced the Aardvark cake. Mega Bucks are one place behind after victory at Cheese Makers despite being reduced to ten men by Yannick Sagbo's debut headbutt. Jose Fonte's late header looked to have broken Matthew's duck but cleans from Guy Demel and Curtis Davies sent the points back with Dave.

Fred's spending spree has yet to bear fruit and his team fell to a 3-0 defeat at Claymore. Clive's team took just three minutes to break through, Emmanuel Giaccherini turning a header in from six yards. Olivier Giroud doubled the lead 11 minutes later and a second Roberto Soldado penalty of the campaign finished this one. Trusted are off the mark and it was another match where clean sheets did the damage. Edin Dzeko's screamer put Beef ahead seven minutes into the second period but an injury time goal from Alvaro Negredo looked to have secured a point for Ben. Not so. Liam Ridgewell, Gary Cahill and Phil Jones all got cleans to complete a 4-1 Trusted win.

Well Kevin must think this WSFFL business is a piece of cake! In a week of low scores and small margins, goals from midfield stalwarts Frank Lampard and Kevin Nolan see the fledgling FCK2 top after a week one win over Trusted. A clean sheet comeback from the Muppets saw them win the verdict over Claymore. The most expensive man from the August auction, Roberto Soldado, had scored from the spot for Clive and a Ross Barkley screamer had the Swordsmen 3-2 up but cleans from Ashley Cole and Daniel Agger delivered the three points to Ryan.

Fred's splurge at the auction didn't pay dividends in week one as his team went down 3-2 to the Phoenix. Wilfried Bony struck eight minutes from time to level the game at 2-2 after another RvP brace for Brian and Pablo Zabaleta celebrated his new contract with the winning clean. Two new boys at Final Fantasy had a big say in their victory. New keeper Alan McGregor saved an early penalty to open the scoring and Ricky van Wolfswinkel headed what proved to be the winner on 71 minutes against Nil Satis.

It all happened late at San Dimas this week. Simon Mignolet's 89th minute penalty save was immediately cancelled out by Rickie Lambert converting from the spot. Just as I was rueing two points lost new defender Dejan Lovren got the deciding clean. One goal was enough for YTFIb to edge Cheese Makers. Samir Nasri teed up to fire past a helpless Tim Krul and win the points for Julian.

Three teams who might expect to be at the sharp end of the table had to settle for a point. The CFJs, without Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez, couldn't break through the Mega Bucks defence. The Artisans will be moaning about officiating all week after an erroneous offside flag denied Alvaro Negredo a debut goal and what would have been a winner. Ben's team were 2-0 up at that point, both from Christian Benteke, but the Aardvarks latched on to that reprieve and found cleans from Winston Reid and Danny Rose to grab a point.
