Kiran now knows what it’s like not to win in the league this season after being held 3-3 by Wheel Madrid. Two for Maxwell Cornet and one for Callum Hudson-Odoi had the leaders three up but the Wheelmen fought back with Callum Wilson’s overhead kick, a long overdue James Maddison goal and Thiago Silva’s clean sheet. Claymore lead three teams four points behind after beating Cheese Makers 2-0. A great hit from range from Youri Tielemans opened the scoring on 14 minutes and a towering header from Yuraj Kucka finished the scoring 12 minutes from time.

The CFJs are third after a comprehensive win at the Aardvarks. Ady led after 13 minutes when Diogo Jota slid in but the Cows were level at the break thanks to Tino Livramento’s textbook downward header. An unlucky Max Aarons own goal put the Cows 2-1 up and they finished things late on with Rodrigo’s injury time penalty and Edouard Mendy’s clean. The Artisans beat the Muppets in a nine-score thriller to stay fourth. After Mason Mount’s opener Ryan’s team took control thanks to a Phil Foden double and a Reece James dink to make it 3-1 at the interval. Ben turned it round with Emile Smith Rowe’s deflected shot, Alexis Mac Allister’s penalty and then Mount completing his hat-trick with two in the last five minutes before James added a consolation clean for Ryan.

Trusted lost ground after a 1-1 draw with San Dimas. Richardson’s diving header looked to have won it for Beef before Riyad Mahrez found himself alone in the Trusted box to level five minutes into injury time. Fred splits those two teams in the table after a 3-2 win at Mega Bucks. Mo Salah’s wondrous form continues and he got all three of the Gardeners’ goals. Salah now has ten for the season, three more than anyone else. Go on, have a guess at the player in second place in the counter totals this season. I’ll tell you at the bottom of the email.

Stanley jumped above Mega Bucks to go eighth with a 3-2 win at Nil Satis. Ben Chilwell fired Aaron ahead after 57 minutes but two late goals from Josh King* put Paul ahead. Cleans from Chilwell and Virgil van Dijk switched things back into Aaron’s favour. YTFIB pulled away from Markian at the bottom with a 3-2 win over those opponents. All Julian’s goals, from Naby Keita, Hwang and Ilkay Gundogan, came in the first 13 minutes. Thomas Partey and a Jannik Westergaard clean reduced the deficit for Ian but he ultimately came up short.

* King scored three in ‘real life’ but was Paul’s sub and not on the fantasy pitch when his first went in.

Kiran kept his 100% record, and put distance between himself and the rest of the league, with a 3-1 win over Trusted. It all happened late in in this one, Beef took the lead five minutes from time though Conor Coady but the Society turned it round with cleans from Caomhin Kelleher, Ruben Dias and Malang Sarr. The result drops Beef to fifth. Claymore are second, leading the teams on 12 points, after beating Markian 4-1. Harry Kane scored! He put Ian in front on 22 minutes but that lead lasted just nine minutes before an excellent Youri Tielemans strike brought Clive level. Cleans from Trevoh Chalobah, Matty Cash and John Stones gave Claymore the points.

The CFJs are up to third after a 4-2 win over Wheels. Paul W went in front on 68 minutes with a deflected John McGinn effort but five minutes later he was 2-1 down after an early Aymeric Laporte clean and Odsonne Edouard crashing a shot into the roof of the net. Jamie Vardy levelled with seven minutes to go but cleans from Dan Burn and Tino Livramento gave the Cows the victory. The Artisans beat Fred 3-2 to go fourth. The Gardeners scored two excellent goals from Mason Greenwood and then another Mo Salah worldie but he was undone by a Roberto Firmino hat-trick, the last, and winning,  goal coming in injury time.

San Dimas are a point behind that group in sixth after a drab 0-0 with Nil Satis. Moving on… Mega Bucks are seventh after beating YTFIB 3-1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang volleyed in from a narrow angle after eight minutes to give Dave the lead and he rounded that off with a Caglar Soyuncu tap-in and a Ruben Neves deflected free-kick late on before Julian could reply with a Ben Gibson clean.

The Muppets are ninth after beating the Aardvarks 5-3. This was 2-2 after 90 minutes and then Patson Daka opened his WSFFL account for Ryan a minute later to give his team the lead. Ady looked to have grabbed a point when Alexandre Lacazette levelled four minutes later but the Muppets took the points courtesy of Andreas Christensen and Ben Johnson cleans. Stanley and Cheese also played out a super-tight game but this one finished 2-2. Ben Chilwell’s clean strike right on half-time was equalised by Danny Ings straight after the break. Matthew went ahead through Angelo Ogbonna’s near-post header on 74 minutes but Aaron brought it back with a minute to go when Eric Dier steered into his own net.
