Ben extended his unbeaten run and lead with a draw against Wheel Madrid. The Artisans blew a two goal lead though, Gereard Deulofeu skipped through the Wheels defence and slotted home inside two minutes and Ciaran Clark got the faintest of touches to make it two on 52 minutes. Jamie Vardy started the comeback on 68 minutes and a brilliant James Maddison strike seven minutes later earned Paul W a point. San Dimas stay second but were battered 4-1 by Trusted. Ashley Barnes’ first goal since August put me ahead after 11 minutes but Beef turned the game round in a three minute spell with goals from Richarlison (on 75 minutes) and Bernardo Silva. Ben Mee and Fikayo Tomori added cleans for Trusted.

Claymore missed a chance to close on the leaders with defeat at YTFIB. Ricardo Pereira’s clean was enough for Julian who moves up to 12th. The CFJs are up to fourth after a 2-1 win over the Muppets. Davy Propper’s unfortunate own goal got Chris and Co. up and running but Ryan levelled six minutes after the break through Sadio Mane’s header. Parity lasted a minute, Tammy Abraham slotting in the winner for the CFJs.

The Wateringhole picked up their first league win since August, 4-2 at Athletico. A clever set-piece was finished by Harry Wilson to put Kiran ahead but Chris Wood had levelled for Brian by half-time.  The Mighty Society took control after the interval, Marcus Rashford crashed in off the bar, Christian Pulisic dived to head in and Raul Jimenez placed into the far corner to make it 4-1. Brian could only find a Ben Chilwell clean in response. Mega Bucks turned it round against Cheese Makers to go eighth. Fabinho opened the scoring for Matthew with a rocket effort but Ruben Neves had levelled by half-time with a distance strike of his own. Danny Ings scored from under the bar on 50 minutes to put Matthew back in front but Dave had cleans from Holebas and Soyuncu to leave Le Stad with all the points.

The Aardvarks continued their climb up their table with a 2-1 win over Fred. Mo Salah timed his run perfectly to head the Gardeners in front on 11 minutes but the second half went to Ady. Son fired through the keeper’s legs for the equaliser and Lewis Dunk got a header of his own to get the win. We finish with the headline of the week, Markian win! It was comeback against Nil Satis too. Paul S had gone in front through Tom Davies but a brilliant diving DeAndre Yedlin equaliser had levelled the game and Ben Foster secured the historic winning clean.

The Artisans continue their great start with an eighth win out of their first nine games. Ciaran Clark headed in to give Ben a 16th minute lead and while Nil Satis held their own for a large chunk of the game Paul S had no answer to the late onslaught from Gerard Deulofeu, Kyle Walker and a Martin Montoya clean. San Dimas are still the closest challengers after a 2-1 win over Athletico. James Ward-Prowse was quickest to a rebound to put Brian ahead but I’d turned it round by half-time courtesy of two John Lundstram goals. Ben Chilwell hit a post late on so my team held on for the points.

Claymore left it late but continued their good run with a big win against Cheese Makers. Sergio Aguero smashed in with 20 minutes to go but Matthew found an equaliser with a superb Andy Robertson header three minutes from time. Could Cheese escape with a point? No. Robert Snodgrass smashed in a volley and cleans from Schmeichel, Egan and Stevens made the final score a lopsided-looking 5-1. The Muppets are fourth but lost ground after a draw with Fred. The Gardeners had their eyes on all three points when Dele Alli put them ahead but Sadio Mane headed Ryan level deep into injury time.

Wheel Madrid gave up a one goal lead to lose to struggling YTFIB. Jamie Vardy had given Wheels the lead, with only two minutes left, but Julian managed to come back with cleans from Ricardo Pereira, Charlie Taylor and Jack O’Connell to pull off the shock win. The CFJs have been a bit goal shy this season (Tammy Abraham excepted) but found three to leapfrog their opponents into the top half. The Cows had led twice, through Abraham and Fabian Balbuena, but Kiran’s team had levelled thanks to the in-form Christian Pulisic and Raul Jimenez. Shane Duffy put Chris and Co ahead for a third time with six minutes left and this time the mighty Society couldn’t respond.

Mega Bucks picked up their first home win of the campaign and added to Trusted’s bad week in the process. P-E Aubameyang and Josh King had Dave two up at the break, and Caglar Soyuncu’s head was exactly in the right place to head in for 3-0 on 57 minutes. Leandro Trossard (by the way has anyone else got a player who’s name is close to their team name?) got Beef’s consolation. Markian can use the Richard Osman/Alexander Armstrong comparison for another week after going down to the Aardvarks 2-0. Clean sheets from Lewis Dunk and Dean Henderson got the job done for Ady’s slowly improving outfit.
