(Awards are made on basis of contributions, 'counters', in all WSFFL competitions. Where there is a tie, contributions in league matches take precedence.)
Player of the Season, Attacker of the Season and Golden Boot:
Jamie Vardy (Wheel Madrid) 23 goals
The evergreen striker is still doing it at 33. It would be a brave person who ruled him out of being in the shake-up again next year. (Or a stupid one, like Peej who sold him to Wheels for £9m in February 2017.)
Golden Gloves:
Kasper Schmeichel (Claymore Athletic FC) 13 cleans, two saved penalties
A first win for Schmeichel who's done well to pick up this award while playing for a manager who shares his starting places around depending on kick-off times and opponents.
Defender of the Season:
Virgil van Dijk (Stanley Athletic FC) Five goals, 13 clean sheets
He might not have won the big prize again this year but the Dutchman was still the league's top defender.
Midfielder of the Season and £500k player of the Season:
Raheem Sterling (Real Muppets) 17 goals
Third straight win in the midfield category for Sterling, second in the £500k player. Forty-nine goals in three seasons now. Two years ago I said it didn't look like he'd finished improving. I think that still stands.
Young Player of the season:
Anthony Martial (Stanley Athletic FC) 14 goals
This was the last time that Martial was eligible for this award and he edged out Marcus Rashford by virtue of one more league goal. Time for the Frenchman to put his name in the frame for the big prize.
Signing of the Season:
Danny Ings (Cheese Makers) 19 goals
This was a tough one because Ings wasn't a new player to the league. But he did change clubs so I'm allowing it. Markian United sold Ings to Southampton for £20m, Matthew picked him up for £11m in the second auction. if this was about new players to the league this season it would have been Enda Stevens.
