The continuation of Claymore’s wobble has seen a change at the top. Claymore’s 4-3 defeat to the CFJs opened the door for Stanley Athletic and they stepped through it.

Ross Barkley put Clive 3-2 up in injury time but the Cows had cleans from Davies and Mustafi to take a small amount of revenge for the Cup Final defeat. Jamie Vardy scored twice for Wheels against Stanley but his team were already three down by then as Willian and Anthony Martial scored first half goals and Cedric Soares snuck off with a clean after 76 minutes. Stanley are top - Aaron you’re on the list https://wsffl.blogspot.com/2015/09/wsffl-table-toppers.html

Trusted have joined Claymore on 47 points after seeing off Nil Satis 3-0. A first-half goal by Leandro Trossard was followed up by cleans from Alexander-Arnold and Aurier. We saw the best of the Aardvarks this week as they battered the Wateringhole 5-1. Kiran must have thought it wasn’t his day when Michael Keane scored an unlucky own goal. Marcus Rashford’s spot-kick levelled the game before the break and it stayed that way until Kieran Tierney bagged a 56-minute clean. Alexandre Lacazette put the Aardvarks further in front with four minutes left and Bertrand and Dunk added cleans.

The Artisans continue to struggle and went down 3-0 to YTFIB. Cleans from Gomez, Justin and Ryan gave Julian all the points and his team is now a mere three points off 4th place! After a good win last week San Dimas reverted to type and flopped against the Muppets. James Tarkowski slid Ryan’s team ahead two minutes before half-time, Sadio Mane smashed in the second with 20 minutes to go.

Cheese Makers are eighth after adding to Markian’s woes. Cleans from Robertson and Mina doing the job for Matthew. Just nine points cover 5th to 14th in the table. Fred occupies that 14th place but with players like Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes surely that won’t be that way for long. Those two got Fred’s three goals between them as they turned round an early deficit to beat Mega Bucks.
