Stanley Athletic FC 1 v 1 Claymore Athletic FC
The Cow-Faced Juniors 1 v 2 Mega Buck Bandits
Trusted By Millions 5 v 1 Wheel Madrid
YTFIB 1 v 0 Markian United
A third different leader in three weeks. Trusted are now the team that lead the way.
Beef’s team took the chance after his two rivals fought out a draw. Olivier Giroud gave Claymore an early lead and it needed a Harry Maguire clean to earn Stanley Athletic a point. Aaron left rueing a James Ward-Prowse missed penalty.Trusted eased to a 5-1 win over a struggling Wheel Madrid. Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard put them two up at the break but pick of the goals was Danny Welbeck’s excellent overhead effort. I think this is Welbeck’s first since August 2018.
The Aardvarks stay fourth after a draw with the Artisans. A rare Jordan Hnderson strike for Ady cancelled out by an equally rare Christian Benteke goal for Ben. Despite that result the Artisans have dropped a place. The rampaging YTFIB are now up to fifth after seeing off Markian 1-0. Charlie Taylor’s clean was the decider that made it five wins in a row for Julian. Has this ever happened before?
San Dimas are sinking and suffered a 7-2 reverse at Fred this week. Emiliano Buendia (his first in WSFFL) opened the scoring as the Gardeners went 3-0 up in 10 minutes. Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood both kept their goalscoring form going and Mo Salah decided he didn’t want to be left out and added a brace. The Muppets occupy the last top half spot after coming from behind to beat The Wateringhole Society. Christian Pulisic gave Kiran a 27th minute lead and it took until second half injury time for Raheem Sterling to equalise. James Tarkowski grabbed Ryan’s winning clean shortly after.
Mega Bucks stopped their recent run of poor form with a win at the CFJs. P-E Aubameyang opened the scoring and Wilfrid Zaha added a screamer to make it 2-0 at half-time. Tammy Abraham pulled one back for the Cows but no equaliser was forthcoming. Cheese Makers slipped out of the top half after to defeat to Nil Satis. All looked good for Matthew at half time with Danny Ings putting him a goal up but Paul Pogba’s equaliser set up a Chris Basham clean to send Paul S home with all the points.
