A huge win for the Muppets over the league-leading Artisans to keep Ryan’s team in with a chance of following up last year’s title success. Ben’s team led twice, through the ever-reliable Jarrod Bowen and improving Florian Wirtz but Ryan hit back with excellent strikes from Habib Diarra and Chemsdine Talbi. Jurrien Timber’s clean sheet made it 3-2 to the Muppets and closes the gap to the top to six points. In between those teams are the Wateringhole Society who had a comfortable 4-0 win over Wheel Madrid Hugo Ekitike struck twice in three minutes just before half time. Piero Hincapie and William Saliba bagged clean sheets.

The Aardvarks stayed fourth with a 1-0 win over Nil Satis, Martin Zubimendi heading home after 27 minutes. SGU round out the top five that have stayed the same for six weeks now. Despite falling behind to an early Morgan Gibbs-White goal Aaron’s team beat GC TotW 4-2. Dominic Solanke scored twice, his second a flukey/brilliant ’scorpion kick’, to put SGU in front and Enzo Fernandez made it 3-1. Ibrahima Konate poked in to pull one back for Ollie but Trai Hume’s clean settled it.

Claymore and the CFJs in 6th and 7th lost to the teams in 8th and 9th. San Dimas beat Claymore 2-1. Crysencio Summerville and Matheus Cunha swapped goals before Marcos Senesi’s clean clinched it for me. It was a 4-1 win for Cheese Makers over the Cows. Matthew’s team have settled into a 3-4-3 formation and all three Cheese attackers scored this week - Anthony Gordon in the first half, Joao Pedro and Raul Jimenez in the second. Casemiro was Matthew’s other scorer, Viktor Gyokeres got the CFJs’ goal.

Trusted are finally moving in the right direction and beat Mega Bucks 4-1. A fabulous hit from Eli Junior Kroupi was soon followed by Noni Madueke curling a corner straight in. Dango Ouattara replied for Dave before the break and it stayed 2-1 until the final five minutes when Gabriel Jesus scored and Nordi Mukiele picked up a clean for Beef. Markian ended their umpteen games (check before sending out) without a win by beating YTFIB 3-2. Ryan Cherki’s opener for Ian was equalised by Antoine Semenyo. Ismaila Sarr put Markian back in front only for Alex Scott to level in injury time but at 90+4 Benjamin Sesko turned and shot high into the net for the winner.
