With the Artisans’ frontline going a bit cold Ben’s relying on his defence more and his 5-4-1 formation got the job done 3-0 over SGU. The clean sheet scorers for Ben this week were Diogo Dalot, Chadi Riad and Milos Kerkez. The Artisans’ lead is back out to six points after the Muppets were held 1-1 by San Dimas. Anton Stach bent in a free-kick for my team after 31 minutes, Adrien Truffert’s clean got Ryan a point.

In some north American Greek restaurants you can get a dish called Flaming Saganaki, fried cheese which is then flambeed with brandy or ouso at the table. I think this is roughly how hot Matthew’s team are at the moment. Cheese Makers battered the Wateringhole Society 6-1 this week. Raul Jimenez and Nico O’Reilly both bagged a brace, Joao Pedro and Alexis Mac Allister were also on target. Kiran’s title hopes are fading, Matthew has his eyes on the top four for a second successive season. The Aardvarks currently hold fourth spot after winning 2-1 at Markian. Dean Henderson’s penalty save put Ady in front just before half-time, Benjamin Sesko hit back for Ian with 20 minutes left only for Tammy Abraham to thigh in the winner for the Aardvarks in the 88th minute.

The CFJs have been a bit more like themselves over the last month or so and brushed Trusted aside 5-1 to end Beef's recent revival, Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres both scoring twice for the Cows. Claymore missed a chance to climb into the top half with a 1-0 defeat to GC TotW. Ollie’s second season hasn’t gone as well as he’d have hoped but Ibrahima Konate’s winning clean pulls him well clear of bottom spot…

… where Wheel Madrid now seem cut adrift after going down 2-0 too Mega Bucks. Enzo Le Fee’s second half penalty and an Alisson clean keep Dave’s team in with a sniff of a top half finish. YTFIB are seven points clear of the aforementioned Wheels following a 2-0 win over Nil Satis. Alex Iwobi’s composed finish after 85 minutes broke the deadlock and Chris Richards added a clean sheet.
