An excellent week for Ady who could rest a few players ahead of the FA Cup Final and still get a win at Claymore to close on the title. Clive took the lead too, Lorenz Assignon skipped past a couple of defenders and slotted in only for Morgan Rogers to cut inside and equalise five minutes later. Diogo Jota’s 72nd minute shot that squirmed under the keeper proved to be the winner.

With the CFJs not playing, SGU had a chance to go second. They didn’t take it. Dominic Solanke’s penalty gave Aaron the lead but Michail Antonio lunged in for an equaliser for the break and Dave’s side took the points with a Nathan Ake clean. The Wateringhole are up to third after a 2-1 win at San Dimas. Dwight McNeil’s long-ranger put my team ahead late on but Kiran turned it round with cleans from William Saliba and Ruben Dias.

Trusted’s late charge continues with a 5-3 win over the Muppets. Emerson’s early own goal had the Muppets ahead but then Beef’s side got into gear. Jean-Philippe Mateta has looked a different player since joining Trusted and got the equaliser on the half hour. A stunning Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick had Beef in the lead soon after and it was 3-1 at the break when Leandro Trossard mis-hit a shot in off the post. Mateta and Bernardo Silva added second half goals before a couple of Muppets cleans reduced the final deficit.

Two of Wheel Madrid’s best players of the season got the goals that beat Fred 2-0. Michael Olise usually scores better goals than his early close-range header while Leon Bailey couldn’t miss the chance that clinched it. Three games were called off due to… ooooh… let’s say food poisoning, waterlogging and a protest by Just Stop Fantasy Oil.
