PCMT

Claymore beat the CFJs in the league last week and that seems to have only served to have wound the Cows up. Chris and Co. didn’t get an instant reaction, they fell behind to a Matheus Cunha goal, but were 2-1 up at the break. Some sort of kung fu half-volley from Eberi Eze was soon followed by a Jorgen Strand Larsen penalty. An Igor Thiago spot-kick on the hour equalised for Clive but a brilliant Danny Welbeck free-kick gave the CFJs a lead they didn’t relinquish with Gabriel and Alex Jimenez adding cleans in a 5-2 win.

The Muppets have won the PCMT four times, the most of any manager still in the game, but won’t be adding to that total after losing 3-2 to the Aardvarks. Micky van de Ven scored two first-half headers either side of Marcus Tavernier’s long-ranger and Wilson Isidor getting one back for Ryan. The only second half score was Chemsdine Talbi perfectly placing a shot to bring it back to 3-2 but Ady’s team held on.

The Wateringhole Society need this trophy to complete the set and they’ll be in the semi-final draw (for the first time) after beating YTFIB 3-1. Kevin Schade put Julian ahead just before the break but an early William Saliba clean levelled matters. There were also cleans from Gugliemo Vicario and Ezri Konsa at the end to send Kiran through. Trusted beat San Dimas 1-0, the only goal being a long-distance effort from Eli Kroupi.

Charity Shield

The league-leading Artisans didn’t bring that form to their game with Mega Bucks, going down 2-0. Dango Ouattara hooked in after five minutes for Dave, Bruno Guimaraes followed up to settle it in the last minute. SGU beat Nil Satis 1-0 thanks to a first half injury time header from Marshall Munetsi.

Cheese Makers recovered from going 1-0 down to Markian to win 3-1. Joe Rodon headed Ian ahead after 15 minutes but a deflected Casemiro shot drew the sides level before the break. A Bryan Mbeumo brace after the interval sent Matthew through. GC TotW and Wheel Madrid will need a replay after a 1-1 draw. Ollie was close to a semi-final place when Mohamed Salah smashed him in front with two minutes left only for Djed Spence’s clean to give Wheels a second chance.
